Welcome to the Leeward Lounge

Thanks for stopping by my lounge. I'm Fred Kroner, know as Finkdaddy by some of my friends.

I'm a Wisconsin born artist, a sometimes musician, and a full time husband and father of four. I've always been very creative, but never really found a style or media that suited me. That is, until I discovered the world of tiki and polynesian pop. I know art itself is a form of escapism, but tiki art to me represents the longing for something primal and uncomplicated, for a place where mystery still exists and where something exciting might be just around the corner.

Now I try to recreate that sense of mystery, a piece at a time, through my carvings, writtings, and lifestyle. If, by chance, you see something here that compels you to take it home with you, just leave me a comment or email and we'll make sure you get it home safely.
